LINCOLN, DE– The Delaware State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating after more than a dozen fire companies responded to a fire on Johnson Road Monday afternoon.

The fire was reported in the 18000 block of Johnson Road shortly before 2 p.m. A large column of smoke was visible from the surrounding area.

Carlisle Fire Company crews were reportedly the first on scene, arrriving to find two storage structures and two vehicles burning. The Fire Marshal says the flames then spread to a home on the property as additional crews and emergency medical services responded.

One firefighter was transported to a local hospital for non-critical injuries, according to a press release.

The American Red Cross is reportedly assisting the property owners.

Deputy State Fire Marshals are investigating the cause.
