Bethany Hall-Long has been serving as Delaware’s 26th Lieutenant Governor since 2017. She was born and raised on her family farm in Sussex County. Hall-Long holds a BSN from Thomas Jefferson University, an MSN from the Medical University of South Carolina, and a PhD in health policy and nursing administration from George Mason University. Before becoming Lieutenant Governor, she served in the Delaware House of Representatives from 2002 to 2008 and the Delaware Senate from 2008 to 2017. Hall-Long has dedicated her career to addressing health inequities and expanding mental healthcare access in Delaware. She is recognized nationally for her research and community service with at-risk groups, including pregnant teens, diabetics, the homeless, and individuals facing mental health challenges and substance use disorders
