A different feel to the air again this morning as the wind flipped overnight to allow for some cooler air to arrive in the region. This afternoon will be a cooler day, but we are talking about temperatures only getting into the 50s for highs…which still keeps us a little above average for this time of year. We will wrap up the workweek with lots of sunshine before we start to see the clouds increase overnight tonight heading into our Saturday.

Saturday will bring some extra clouds across the area and we can’t rule out a couple stray showers as a pretty good cold front will whip across Delmarva. As the front approaches us from the north and west tomorrow, the winds will start to ramp up again with some wind gusts from the south to 35+ mph possible in the afternoon hours. This will help temperatures get well into the 60s before the wind flips back out of the north and west for Saturday night. This wind will stick around for Sunday and bring some much colder air in with highs only expected to reach the 30s and 40s.

We stay cold on Monday with temperatures in the 30s and 40s for highs as high pressure takes control of the forecast to start the workweek. Warmer weather comes roaring back by mid-week with highs in the 60s and even dare I say a few 70s could be reached Wednesday. This will come with a price as our next weather maker brings scattered showers and even strong thunderstorm chances Wednesday afternoon and evening with some lingering rain showers into Thursday.
