calling 911

ACCOMACK COUNTY- The Eastern Shore of Virginia 911 Center is warning of issues with dialing 911.

The 911 Center says due to an intermittent issue with Verizon Network Equipment, some 911 callers may not be able to reach 911 using cell or landline phones during brief intermittent periods.

If you cannot reach 911, you can call the dispatch directly at 757-387-9508.

UPDATE: On August 13th, service on the Eastern Shore of Virginia are functional and operating normally, according to the 911 center.
