EASTON, MD - A Henderson man and an Easton woman face multiple charges including manslaughter following the overdose death of a 28-year-old man in Easton last year.

According to police, officers and EMS personnel responded to Prospect Avenue in Easton on reports of an unresponsive man on September 5th, 2022. There, they found Cristian Gonzales, 28, dead.

An investigation revealed that Justin Bodman, 35, of Henderson, and Elina Lazarieva, 21, of Easton, had earlier traveled to Delaware together to obtain heroin, according to Easton Police. Once they received the heroin, police say they delivered it to Gonzales in Easton, and he later overdosed. 

On August 2nd of this year, police arrested Lazarieva in Baltimore City. Bodman was arrested today, September 26th.

Lazarieva is being held at the Talbot County Detention Center on the following charges:

-Manslaughter (1 count) 

-CDS Distribute Narcotics (2 counts) 

-Distribute/PWID CDS Fentanyl/Heroin (2 counts) 

-CDS: Possession with the Intent to Distribute: Narcotics (2 counts) 

-CDS: Possession: Not Cannabis (3 counts) 

-Reckless Endangerment (3 counts) 

-Conspiracy (3 counts)

Bodman was also taken to the Talbot County Detention Center on the following charges:

-Manslaughter (1 count) 

-CDS Distribute Narcotics (2 counts) 

-Distribute/PWID CDS Fentanyl/Heroin (2 counts)

-CDS: Possession with the Intent to Distribute: Narcotics (2 counts) 

-CDS: Possession: Not Cannabis (3 counts) 

-Reckless Endangerment (7 counts) 

-Conspiracy (3 counts)
