BRIDGEVILLE, Del. - Troopers say a man died after being found in a roadway with gunshot wounds on Saturday.
According to Delaware State Police, on Nov. 25 around 3:33 p.m., troopers responded to a reported shooting in the 21000 block of Mill Park Drive. Troopers say they found a 26-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. The victim was reportedly transported to a nearby hospital, where he died.
On Monday, November 27th, police identified the victim as Daquan Lake, of Bridgeville.
State police say a preliminary investigation revealed Lake was on Mill Park Drive when he began conversing with a large group of people standing in the roadway. Troopers say an unknown suspect then shot him, and the crowd of people fled the scene. Authorities say there is no suspect information at this time.
The Delaware State Police Homicide Unit is actively investigating this incident. Detectives are asking anyone with information regarding this case to contact Detective D.
