QUANTICO, MD- A planned burn is scheduled for March 11 at a park in Wicomico County.
County officials say the prescribed burn will be done by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources Forest Services beginning around 10 a.m. on Tuesday at Pirate's Wharf Park in Quantico.
Visitors are asked to avoid the area.
A prescribed burn is used to manage vegetation, reduce wildfire risk and restore healthy ecosystems.
