SALISBURY, Md. - The Maryland Folk Festival has announced Saturday's schedule has been delayed, as Tropical Storm Ophelia impacts the area.
Officials say festivities will now begin at 3 p.m. on Saturday, instead of the scheduled noon start time.
Shows that were scheduled to begin after 3 p.m. will go on as planned.
Officials say this is due to inclement weather conditions including heavy rain and strong winds.
A statement from the City of Salisbury said it is actively monitoring the situation.
