LONG NECK, De. – The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company (IRVFC) reported a vehicle crashed into a home Thursday evening in Sussex County. 

IRVFC units from the Long Neck and Oak Orchard facilities responded to 33494 Lakeshore Circle in the Pot-Nets housing development around 7 p.m. on Nov. 2.

Officials describe the scene as a white Jeep SUV having backed into the front steps of the home. 

First responders helped with exterior evaluation of the property and recovery of any fluid or debris, as well as providing general assistance to the homeowners. 

Crews were assisted by Delaware State Fire Police and the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad, according to a Facebook post.

The Delaware State Police are currently investigating the incident.
