Jana Ruark joined WBOC as a News Producer in July 2021, shortly after graduating from the University of Delaware with a degree in Media Communication and a minor in Journalism. She produces our entirely local 6 p.m. newscast and has won three first-place awards from the Chesapeake Associated Press Broadcasters Association since joining Delmarva's New Leader.

OCEAN CITY, MD- The dates for the “world’s largest and richest billfish tournament” have been set for 2024.
Officials say the 51st White Marlin Open will be held Monday, August 5, to Friday, August 9, in Ocean City.
The tournament awards prize money for anglers who can reel in a white marlin, blue marlin, tuna, wahoo, dolphin, or swordfish.
This year 400 boats were registered with more than $10 million in prize money up for grabs. The top prize was more than $6 million.
