Salisbury PRIDE

SALISBURY, MD - Love was in the air in downtown Salisbury today as the city celebrated Salisbury Pride around Unity Square. Pride flags adorned the streets as the event kicked off with a parade at three o'clock.

This year's Pride was '90s-themed, a decade that saw significant advancement in the LGBTQ+ community. PFLAG says they hope to honor those milestones while also setting a path to build on those foundations into the future in Salisbury.

Live music, vendors, and more filled the area as people from near and far came to celebrate Pride Month. The event, organized by Salisbury PFLAG, hopes to showcase community strength and pride each year.

Mark Delancey, Salisbury PFLAG Executive Director, said, the event continues to grow each year,

"It's nice because I know a lot of these people are also allies, so it's great to see that not only we do - but allies and LGBTQ, we come together, we support each other." he said.
