U.S. Senate - Maryland Democratic Primary

Election is finalized

Angela Alsobrooks has been declared the winner and will go on to face former two-term governor Larry Hogan in the Nov. 5 general election. If elected, Hogan would be the blue state's first Republican senator in more than four decades. Along with West Virginia, Marylanders' choice for who will represent them in the Senate will have a big impact in Washington, as Republicans in both states are eying opportunities that could flip control of Congress' upper chamber for at least two years.
