VIENNA, Md.- Route 50 westbound in Dorchester County is closed after a crash involving a tractor-trailer and a construction vehicle.
At this time, the overturned tractor-trailer is still on the side of Route 50 Near Maiden Forest Road in Vienna. Corporal Davenport from the Maryland State Police Easton Barrack says the call first came in at 11:30 a.m.
She says the truck hit a utility pole, and Choptank Electric had to cut the power before emergency crews could take care of the wreckage. According to Davenport, the driver was taken to Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say there was also a construction vehicle involved. A passenger in that vehicle was taken to Dorchester General Hospital in Cambridge with unknown injuries, according to police.
