Reward Offered in Shooting of Delaware Trooper

WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - The Delaware State Troopers Association is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for shooting a trooper.

Cpl. Richard Deskis was shot in the arm on Nov. 20, 2013, while interviewing a woman about stolen items in a car in Wilmington.

Police say shots were fired from an unknown direction and Deskis was hit. Two officers with the Wilmington Police Department shielded Deskis and rendered first aid until paramedics arrive.

Deskis was treated and released at a hospital.
