SALISBURY, MD - The City of Salisbury announced upcoming road work in the Fitzwater area. Work is scheduled to begin March 5th.

The City of Salisbury says road resurfacing work is set to begin in the Fitzwater area. Affected streets will include 1st St, 2nd St, Pearl St, Hill Street, West Main Street, Church Street, Mitchell Street, and Vine Street.

Work is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, March 5th with milling, and will be followed by repaving on March 10th-15th (weather permitting). Repairs are being done to address issues like potholes, cracking, and loss of material.

The resurfacing project will be done in 2 phases:

Project Area 1

  • 1st and 2nd Street

  • Pearl Street

  • Hill Street

  • West Main Street

Phase 2:

  • Church Street

  • Mitchell Street

  • Vine Street

The city is reminding drivers that vehicles must be removed from all the affected streets during the resurfacing to avoid towing.

Mike Dryden, Salisbury's Director of the Field Operations Department, says residents and business owners will receive flyers with reminders about the upcoming work. The city says they will continue to distribute flyers with updates as needed.
