Concern Grows for Flooding at Kent County Beaches Amid Stormy Weather

WOODLAND BEACH, Del.- High water closed several roads in Kent County during high tide on Monday, temporarily cutting off access to places like Woodland and Bowers beaches.

By 11:30 a.m., a number of sections of Woodland Beach Road had been submerged under water that had spilled over from the marshes during high tide.

Bowers Beach Road also experienced flooding as well.

The level of rainfall in recent days, coupled with the potential for more precipitation from Hurricane Florence, has some people concerned about access to towns like Bowers or Woodland beaches, which only have a single road into town.
