SELBYVILLE, Del.- The Selbyville Volunteer Fire Company got an early start to the day Monday as firefighters battled a fire at Pomeroy's Package Store on Route 113.
Crews responded to the blaze shortly after 5 a.m.
Fire officials said they encountered heavy fire on the restaurant side of Pomeroy's when they arrived on the scene.
Route 113 northbound was closed to traffic for several hours as a result of the fire.
There were no reported injuries. There is no word yet on the extent of damage.
The Delaware State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
