HEBRON, MD - A massive fire significantly damaged a home in Hebron this morning, leaving eleven people displaced Friday.

The home on Porter Mill Rd. was engulfed in flames early Friday morning, October 27th. Multiple fire companies responded.

The Office of the State Fire Marshal said the fire began just after 3:30 a.m. but it is still unclear how it began. It took firefighters over an hour to control the flames.

Seven of the eleven people who live there were home at the time of the fire, but luckily no injuries were reported. Unfortunately, two of the family's dogs perished, the Ness family tells WBOC.

The State Fire Marshal estimates a loss of $400,000 in total structure and content.

A GoFundMe for the family is now active with over $12,000 already donated.

WBOC's Kyle Orens spoke with the family today and will have more on this story tonight.
