Jana Ruark joined WBOC as a News Producer in July 2021, shortly after graduating from the University of Delaware with a degree in Media Communication and a minor in Journalism. She produces our entirely local 6 p.m. newscast and has won three first-place awards from the Chesapeake Associated Press Broadcasters Association since joining Delmarva's News Leader.

Ferb, darker one on left; Phineas, lighter one on right
SALISBURY, MD - The Salisbury Zoo has two new wildlife ambassadors.
Zoo officials have welcomed two chinchilla brothers, Phineas and Ferb. They say the two siblings will be a part of education programs to teach visitors about animal adaptations, habitats, and conservation.
5-month-old Phineas and 10-month-old Ferb are energetic and ready to grow and explore, according to the zoo.
