DAGSBORO, DE - The Office of the State Fire Marshal of Delaware estimates a house fire in Dagsboro over the weekend has caused $350,000 in damages to the home.

On Sunday, December 17th, the Dagsboro Volunteer Fire Department along with several other fire companies were called to a structure fire on Nine Foot Rd./Hickory Hill Rd.at about 2:15 a.m. There, they found flames and smoke erupting from the two-story home. The Dagsboro Volunteer Fire Department says it took firefighters 4 hours to completely contain the fire.

The State Fire Marshal’s investigation reportedly revealed the fire was accidental and caused by an electrical malfunction. According to the Fire Marshal, no one was in the home at the time and no injuries were reported.
